It has not exactly been the best season in West Ham United’s history, but the Hammers did manage to stay in the Premier League despite a number of problems.
The capital outfit also ended the 2017-18 campaign on a high with an impressive 3-1 victory over Everton at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
And there are plenty of reasons for the West Ham fans to be excited about next season.
A number of players struggled to pull their weight this term, but that is not a criticism that can be aimed at 33-year-old full-back Pablo Zabaleta.

The Argentine’s legs might not move as fast as they once did, but there can be no doubting his commitment to the cause, and it is not a surprise that he has quickly developed into one of the club’s most popular players with the fans.
Zabaleta, who is valued at £4.5m by transfermarkt.co.uk, took to social media following the Everton match to thank the West Ham supporters for their kindness, and as expected, the right-back was widely praised once again.
